Position Information
Summary of the Position:
Sound House Church is seeking a part-time director of Youth Ministry. Our Director of Youth Ministry will embody the vision and values of our church. Under the direction of the lead pastor, the youth director will oversee our middle school and high school programs. These programs will take place on Sunday mornings and midweek evenings. We are a community-focused church with the desire to see our Youth Ministry engage in community groups. Each program will include trips and retreats. If desired, there is a potential to develop a college ministry.

A person who sees the importance of connecting with the students of our current church family.
Qualifications:

A self-motivated leader, capable of casting and imparting vision for ministry, possessing relational skills with students, parents, and staff.

Strong grasp of student culture and ministry, particularly in a multigenerational setting.

Degree in Christian Ministry or similar discipline is preferred.

Previous ministry experience recommended.

A passion to understand and relate to youth and their families and a passion to see families grow in their faith together.

Proficient in basic computer software and the capacity to learn new software as needed.

Staff must agree with the church’s statement of faith.

Sound House Church attendance.
General Overview of Responsibilities:
-
Develop vision with the lead pastor.
-
Implement vision, strategy, energy, oversight, and direction for the youth department.

Seek out, recruit, train, and equip leaders and volunteers.

Seek out, recruit, and invite new students to join the ministry.

Focus on building authentic disciple-making relationships with our students so they can take their next step in Christ.

Make connections with the parents of students and communicate effectively with them.

Attend the weekly staff meetings for collaboration between all ministries.

Plan and oversee the Sunday morning youth services, mid-week student gathering, and youth community groups.

Meet, as needed, with the Lead Pastor and Associate Pastor for direction, encouragement, and advice.

Plan the Student Ministry calendar and communicate effectively with students, their parents, and the congregation.

Plan and execute regular activities for teens to connect for fellowship and outreach.
Compensation:
-
Salary range - $20k-$30k per year based on qualifications and experience

3 Sundays & 3 Tuesdays of PTO
-
3% Retirement Contribution at 3 years of employment

About Sound House Church
Our Church began eight years ago as a church plant in the east Long Beach area. Our pastors Ryan Grabill and
Chad Frontieria followed God�s call to begin Sound House to reach Long Beach and the surrounding area. Both Ryan
and Chad had been leading Youth and College ministry for most of their ministry careers before founding Sound
House. We are a multi-generational church with people from all backgrounds of life. Our mission is to gather as a
community, to grow personally and spiritually, and to go forth as ambassadors for the God�s kingdom.
